Project Details:

Located on the George Washington Memorial Parkway this project faced unique challenges in Alexandria’s Old and Historic district; the parcel spans two zoning zones, fronts three streets, and abuts multiple historic homes. The project consists of 93 assisted living and memory care units with amenities such as dining rooms, activity rooms, physical therapy suites, underground parking, and rooftop terraces. Rust|Orling worked to break up the massing using various architectural forms and heights to integrate into the existing neighborhood, including a façade that incorporates elements of an Arts and Crafts style home that once existed on the site.
