Mike Ernst, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB
Principal
Mike joined ROA in 1996 straight out of Virginia Tech where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture. He became a principal in the firm in 2015 and is currently licensed in VA, WV, and DC. He has served as the project leader on numerous projects of different building types and scales including community amenity buildings, restaurants, breweries, single family homes, multi-family housing, affordable housing, religious buildings, commercial office space, and educational facilities. Mike leverages this breadth of experience to help guide his clients through their complex and unique project requirements in an approachable and down-to-earth manner. When he’s not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, cooking new recipes, and seeking tranquility in the calming sounds of the ocean.
